Hey!
Just wondering if anyone has heard back from VCU and if you were accepted, what were your stats? I didn't do early admission for them and am just wondering when we might get notified for regular admissions. I did just get accepted to UPitt but VCU I think is my top choice.

What were yall's stats? Also do you know how they will notify us! I hope it is soon! I knew online it said the Mid-January till April but was just curious to see if anyone had heard since mid-January.

Hey guys, I just got an email today that I got into VCU! It was my first choice, so I am very excited. I am waiting on the offical letter, but I wanted to let people know that I heard back because I have been obsessively checking the boards for any news the past few days.

I just got my acceptance email last night! I was really surprised, since I have yet to take A&P II.

Here are my stats:

University: Houghton College
Major: Psychology, Honors Research Concentration
Overall GPA: 3.87
Pre-req GPA: All A's and A-s.
GRE: Verbal: 161, Quantitative: 153, Analytical Writing: 4.5

Extra-curriculars:I have worked as a Resident Counselor in a home for people with developmental disabilities for around 600 hours. I have an internship testing college students for learning disabilities and some psychological disorders. Psi Chi President for one year, Teacher's Assistant, Intro to Psychology tutor and Statistics tutor. Was chair of Student Conduct Committee, which advises the VP of Student Life about conduct cases that students appeal. Cabinet member of Global Christian Fellowship, my school's intercultural studies club. I was part of my school's honors program and as part of it traveled to 6 countries. I also am doing an honors project on PTSD and I have almost 4 years of research experience. I have had one poster presentation and one paper presentation.

Volunteer: Around 95 hours of shadowing and volunteering in areas of hand therapy, early intervention, school-aged children, and adults with developmental disabilities. One of these was for the OT who worked with some of the same adults I do in the group home.

Recommendations: The OT at the organization where I work wrote me a good recommendation, and we have a good relationship. I have 2 others: One from my honors thesis adviser, and one from the professor I TA for. They both told me they will give good recommendations. I know them both very very well. One of them said OT schools would be stupid not to accept me.

Applying to: Columbia University, Ithaca College, Virginia Commonwealth University, Midwestern University Downer's Grove, and Sacred Heart University.

I found out that I got into VCU on January 13. I was very surprised to hear back that early, but I was happy with the news. Anyone that is planning to attend VCU, are you looking for a roommate? Here are my number stats:

George Mason University
Major- Psychology
Overall GPA- 3.99
Pre-req GPA- 4.0
GRE: Verbal-152 Quantitative-153 Writing-4.0

I hope this helps! Also, are you all referring to the entry-level masters program or the doctorate program? I was accepted into the entry-level masters program. Please let me know if you are looking for a roommate. Thanks!

I am still waiting to hear back from Columbia, but I am most likely going to VCU. And if I am, I will probably be looking for a roommate. No promises there though. At least, not yet.

I also was accepted to vcu beginning of February. I received an email from them that i was accepted but still haven't gotten my letter in the mail. Has anyone else received their official letter yet?

No, I haven't yet but I have been looking! I can't wait to get an official letter...

I got my email on 2/4 and I just got my letter on the 15th. I live in Richmond, so I figure everyone else should get their letters in a couple days. I would maybe call if you don't get it in a few days. Hope that helps.

I just got my paper acceptance letter yesterday, and I am out of state.
