Every achiever test is the hardest test I've ever taken. It requires every last bit of my concentration to push through to the end. The sciences aren't crazy crazy hard but everything else is. When I took topscore there were gimme points while I feel like there are none in any part of achiever. I know achiever is way harder but I'm a little worried about the RC section. I was doing really well on RC in topscore but I feel like not only are the passages way longer in achiever but the questions are way less straightforward.

Anyone who used achiever to prepare for the DAT, how long were the passages overall and did they in anyway resemble achiever? thanks!

Don't even care about Achiever's RC. The real RC is NOTHING like it. The passages are shorter, the questions are not so convoluted and there are none of those f***ing 2 sentence questions where you have to say "statement 1 is correct statement 2 isn't" etc. Crack DAT Reading is probably the best approx but Topscore is pretty close to the real one too (not question types, but difficulty level)

I think the only thing Achiever RC does is just give you a contingency plan to deal with really obnoxious passages (like the Piano one a while back) and well it does make sure you can deal with even the worst circumstance on the real test.

I personally thought Achiever was the best. Yea it is hard but when you take the real Dat ull fly by with it. The actual format is exactly like the dat. Also for reading I thought it was the perfect representation. The Achiever science passage were spot on in terms of difficulty. And in regards to the true false statements, those actually do come up, my friend was unlucky and was hit with that set of exam that contained those questions. (He managed a 20). If you are averaging a 16-20 on Achiever you are in good shape. I got a 22AA with scores like that.
