Hey guys!

I've read just about every post that I can on this residency throughout Reddit and SDN but they're all dated. I'm coming from the Midwest and have heard great things.

Are there any people that can speak to what they've seen at this program? Either recent interviews, residents, faculty, anything.... It's difficult to get info on FM programs.

Info I was hoping to secure, cost of living, call schedule, general lifestyle as a resident. Looking forward to applying here in the fall.

Thanks!

Interviewed there a few years ago. Seems like you get good broad training there, but you work very hard there. The population is underserved, difficult to manage due to resources, and very appreciative of you. I can only speak to my brief experience, but the people all seemed very good and caring. The thing is interns were very upfront that they violate duty hours regularly, there's a lot if inpatient, and there's more time than most programs spent on surgery (as in in the OR) or in the ICU. I'm sure you leave very prepared, but you also might be burnt out.
