I started the EK 101 passages back in May of 2011, which was a very great resource. I scored 5-9 points, never breaking double digits. Even on the AAMC Prac tests I scored around a 6-7. I scored a 24Q on the Jan MCAT (10P, 8B, 6B). Even if I scored equivalent to my bio section a 26Q would be soooo much better.

What do adcoms think of about this? I'm applying to masters in biomed programs and certificate programs, so I may retake it if they offer MCAT courses with the programs. Does kaplan or princeton review courses help with verbal? I scored really well on my SAT verbal section so I'm lost on this mcat section. 🙁

BTW, I'm applying to DO schools, unless I take the MCAT again and score a 30+, then MD as well.

Your Bio section is the part that needs adjustment, IMO, based on the wamc board. I'm assuming that 8 is verbal.

Whatever section you got a 6 in will tank your application for MD schools. I'm not sure how DO schools view that low of a section score. Both Kaplan's and TPRH's courses cover verbal. Unfortunately, neither of them do that great of a job, though TPRH has good verbal practice material and is solid across the board in terms of their books. If you do end up needing a retake, keep in mind that your scores are only good for 2-3 years depending on the school. So plan accordingly if you go into a masters program.

Looks like you got an 8 in VR and a 6 in BS?

Imo you shouldn't have taken it if you were only getting 6-7 on the practice tests. Try the TPRH VW, it helped me alot. Went from 7-8 to 10 minimum and consistently 11-12

I got a tutor for verbal that helped me out a lot and I'm very stubborn. I gave in and it helped, maybe it would benefit you to look into it too.

My bad, 8B, 6V. I planned on applying to post-baccs (which I am doing now), therefore I had to take the January MCAT to receive scores in time by March. Most post-baccs include the MCAT course especially over the summer, so I am optimistic about that. My studying was completely on my own.

6 is enough for DO school, provided that you did well on the other sections.
