Verification of Application Materials

This is my first year applying to veterinary school, and many schools that I applied to do not have an "Application Status" link on their websites. Are schools usually ok with applicants calling the admissions number just to make sure that all the test scores, transcripts, fees, and supplemental applications have actually made it into the right hands? Any experiences with individuals refusing to and/or giving you a hard time about supplying people with this information?

It's my first year too- most of the schools I've tried to contact told me that they'll email you in 2 weeks if your file is incomplete.

That includes Minnesota and I think Colorado told me they were going to launch a status page by the end of the month (?)

They usually don't mind, if they say it's okay to call on their websites.

From prior experience, all of the VMCAS reports have not arrived at the schools, yet. Some schools will not know if all of your info is in until some time next week. You may need to wait a week, then call admissions to make sure things are where they should be.

You also have to keep in mind that there are thousands of people applying. They have a lot of files to get to. I also think that it is different for every school.

Some will e-mail to say that your app is complete, and some will not.

Yeah, check the supplemental application after October 24th and you should see the status of all your application materials for CSU 🙂

This is my first time applying too. I emailed the schools on my list and asked them the for an update.

Upenn, Tufts, Wisconsin and Minnesota got back to me with confirmations.

U of I said they couldn't confirm anything till after October 24th.

VMCRVM and Michigan State didn't email me back at all.

hey guys -- this is also my first time applying -- i got email confirmation from most of the schools i applied to. I just emailed them asking if they had received the following supplemental applications materials, etc. Everyone was extremely helpful and very prompt in emailing me back a response. I was extremely impressed, considering there are 1000s of applicants!
