Do dental schools ask you to verify volunteer hours (e.g. at hospitals, dental clinics, etc.) by getting formal letters from the institute/organizers? I assume this could be asked during the secondary application process. For example, my hospital volunteering was done 10 years ago (I'm a non-trad) and they won't remember me any longer. But the fact stands that I did volunteer and spent 100 hours there. I was wondering whether I cannot put them on my application because I don't have a written proof.

Thanks!

they don't ask for verification

Tufts asks for a letter from a dentist to verify that you've volunteered/shadowed for at least 30 hours.
