Hi everyone!

I'm new to SDN, I have been learning a lot from you guys. Thanks for sharing your experience on DAT journey.

I learned that Cliff's note 3rd edition is good for biology and Feralis's note as well. However, does anyone know which version of Baron AP biology is best for DAT preparation. I just want many different sources to supplement my biology knowledge since I'm not good at it.

Thanks

To be honest, it is not essential. Use Cliffs as a foundation.

Feralis will cover everything Cliffs covers, along with Barren and other sources. Use Bootcamp, Destroyer to fill in any gaps.

I'd recommend the 3rd edition, that was the last one before the new AP exam. Although I'm not sure if they changed it like Cliffs AP biology did for the 4th edition. If anyone used multiple versions of Barron's AP biology and wants to chime in on the differences please do.

You really only need either Cliffs AP bio or Barron's AP bio, they essentially cover the same things. If you already have Cliffs AP bio 3rd edition I would just stick with that. Otherwise, you could try to go down to your local bookstore and compare Barron's to Cliffs and pick whichever one resonates with you more. Good luck!

Hi Anh Vo.

My students seem to favor Cliffs. The Campbell Biology book is also an excellent reference book and you should find it helpful especially if you have weakness in Biology.

Good luck in your studies..
