vertically challenged (and thin) -- need a REALLY small coat!

My school gives us Meta white coats. They are unisex, but are available in xs. I initially ordered a small, but it was still too big around. Luckily, our bookstore sells them and I tried on an xs today and it fits a lot better. You can find some Meta coats at allheart.com, but I'm not sure if it's the exact same, but its close.

Also, being slightly on the large side is OK, since you'll always be wearing it OVER your clothes.

For some reason when we were getting our first coats they had women's sizes (like 10, 12, etc) and men's sizes (like 40, 42 etc). The lady looked at me funny when I asked for a 40 but understood once I tried it on and the arms fit perfectly. I agree that they are a little wider than ideal, but I just fill my pockets with stuff and it all works out okay. 🙂 I hate trying to lengthen sleeves (and pants too for that matter). But it's still good to be tall. 😀
Sorry IlianaSedai, didn't mean to hijack the thread. BTW, have you tried going to a uniform store where you go to school? I live in a pretty big city with LOTS of docs, and they have a uniform store that will tailor your coat for free if you buy from them. Pretty nice.

I bought mine at Life Uniform & I know they have a website. It has a strip across the back (but at short coat length) so it looks more tailored. They're sized 8, 10, etc. There are a couple of brands though, and they were true to size, or at least what I thought I'd wear. The one they gave me (our guys had 38, 40... while girls got S, M, L) looked very sloppy. I could fit more stuff in the pockets, but I looked like a kid playing doctor.
