Very late Cornell interview

I just was invited to interview at Cornell during their last round...as late as March 15th. I suspect that this is not just a waitlist interview, since they are non-rolling?

Any insight? NY isn't so far for me, so I'll definitley go, but I'm just curious what people think.

whether he's interviewing for a spot in the class or for a spot on the waitlist.

personally i think it will be tougher now to get accepted but since they're non-rolling it's still a definite possibility.
