what with interviews being so nerve-racking and all, I'm sure there are a few neurotic things we all did for luck that didn't quite make sense...

like wearing two pairs of socks to each interview even though your shoes fit fine, or slapping your chest while screaming at the mirror in a foreign tongue wearing only boxer briefs and a good luck Transformer t-shirt you've had since you were but a child

Jeez, some of that stuff you are doing is pretty weird. I will wear my superman undershirt for good luck, but this only works with my dark colored dress shirts. With a white colored dress shirt, you can totally see a big S under my shirt, thus ruining my secret identity. I wear the same suit to every interview, but I only have 2 and only one of them fits, so I don't do that for good luck.

if its a cold place i wear my snowflake boxers. if not then normal.

always the same pair of dress socks.

always sing or listen to one song as i dress...usually "pictures of you" by the cure.

always give a little prayer and jingle my cal keychain.

always carry around my college ID (I dont know why...i just like to)

thats all.

i also have one pack of gum that i bring out just for interviews. unfortunately for me, there are still plenty of sticks left...

I don't know why I'm admitting this, but I have specific panties I wear when I want something to go particularly well (professionally, not socially). I also seem drawn to the color yellow when I'm looking for good-luck charms. Dunno why.

So, did anyone check their horoscope before going to an interview? I was tempted, but then I got uber superstitious and decided that maybe it would be bad luck to read it.

Hell, I'm just a nervous wreck when it comes to this process.

I usually empty a tin of altoids right somewhere between 2-3 hours before the interview. I'm not sure if it's superstition or a nervous habit. It can't be that bad though. I don't usually have bad breath at the interview as a result.

always get drunk the night of your interview (or the following night, or both). and that's not for superstition....that's just cuz I'm a lush. LOL.

I wear the same black lace thong at every interview... I think it's because it's the most seamless one I have and one of my major pet peeves is VPL (visible panty line).
