I was reading a article online and it stated that New jersey is a highest paid state for vets. Average annual salary 80k for 2012.
What states do you guys think pay vets the most?

what's the Cost of Living there? And is it averaging salaries of vets living or working in New Jersey, if it's just living then I would assume that it is falsely bumped up due to vets who live in New Jersey, but work in NYC.

these stats are supposed to be updated by the end of the month with projections through 2020, so it's worth rechecking in a few days....

it looks like veterinarians in Connecticut make slightly more than in NJ, but when you factor in cost of living the difference in earnings among the top states is probably negligible.... also factor in the employment numbers which are relatively lower in the high-earning states....

You must mean starting salary ?

I would think new York and ca etc are highest paid, but I didn't read the bls article.

You can't just look at salary though, you have to factor in cost of living which is going to vary from state to state and also from city to city.
