Hi everyone just looking for some insight with anyone that has ever been in my situation. I was recently academically dismissed from Ross university after appealing. Reason for my poor academic performance was because I was directly racially discriminated against by my professor the second week of school. This affected me greatly and affected my mental health in ways that I didn't imagine were possible (also the professor was under investigation so I was unable to reach out because of the circumstances)
Just looking to see if I can re apply and what schools aside for SMU. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear. Since you write that you are suffering mental health problems I would first focus on getting healthy before making any major decisions.

Beyond that, yes, some students have successfully been readmitted after being dismissed from veterinary school. Of course veterinary school admission is competitive and a student that has been dismissed would face an even higher hurdle. I assume you have determined that readmission at your school is not an option. If you don't know for sure, I would start there.

Regarding other schools, some will accept applications from students that have been dismissed elsewhere and some don't. So as you are deciding where to apply, make sure you find out for sure if the school(s) you are interested in have a policy on this.

You will need to be prepared to explain the dismissal and the steps you have taken to ensure you are capable of successfully completing a program.

Hope this helps and all the best.
