I think some schools are starting to include something like that in the standard student kit. Just this past year at Pitt, students used something that looks exactly like that (possibly the same thing) for the first year dental anatomy / waxing class. That had pro's and cons - it was nice because it was so detailed, but the downside was that in many cases it is over detailed, and so it was a pain in the ass for students to try to match the detail compared to what we had the previous year. Also, since the teeth have accurate root structure, the anterior don't stay in well at all - aren't we glad we have a PDL 🙂 - and so it was hard to wax those teeth.
