Hello,

I hope everyone is having a great day so far. I am currently a high schooler, and I recently came across virtual shadowing and volunteering opportunities. Once, such a website was prehealthshadowing.com. Has anyone done any virtual shadowing with success? I wanted to gain a head start and gain some shadowing hours to apply for the guaranteed acceptance program at my state school. I have reached out for shadowing around local offices, but they declined becuase of age and availability. Would anyone recommend? Thank you everyone in advance.

For dental, I would consider virtual shadowing as informative only as you really need to do things in-person as a future dentist. There may be rules regarding age that may prevent you from getting in-person at this time, but virtual won't have much weight. We want you to get in-person experience once you are in college. Don't fret over this.

I think volunteering would be more feasible.
