Driving to inpatient in the AM in heavy traffic. Saw a billboard from a plaintiff's injury attorney with a website that caught my attention.

*[state]*LAWDOCTOR.com (state deleted for anonymity)

Turns out, the attorney graduated from dual JD/PhD in psychology program. The attorney's website specifically states that they continue to work on finishing the PhD dissertation. Cannot confirm whether they actually completed the dissertation. The law stuff is legit.

PI attorney's are a dime-a-dozen and there are several large billboards from other PI attorneys along the same route into the city. But this billboard made me retaste a bit of my early cup of joe I had an hour prior.

What exactly is so distasteful to you? Is it the use of the term doctor, or the fact that they are involved in personal injury law?

TBH. The use of doctor written out instead of PhD. Though I'm in medschool, my initial reaction to seeing that billboard was the attorney is also a medical doctor. I can imagine that the general public also thinks the same for the most part, and the attorney likely knows this to be the case.
