Anyone know the pathophys of vit B deficiency (B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, B12) and glossitis?

That's like 15 World questions, look it up in your reading source and match it to the questions.

It is atrophic glossitis: decreased cell replication= decrease/breakdown of cells on tongue= blood vessels are seen through the thinner mucosa which makes the tongue more red. I would assume there may be some inflammation from the mucosal breakdown as well.

Sorry, I misread the original posters question. I though glossitis (beefy tongue) is only related to Vitamin B12 deficiency?

Ya so glossitis can be in iron def anemia, virtually all the b vit def's and some infections (painful, smooth, shiny). The fiery red beefy glossitis tends to be B12.
