Would never join anything that has a 5yr partnership. That is a big red flag. I would put the chances of them still being at a specific location in 5yrs at less than 10%. The movement with PP and AMCs nowadays is constant, eventually leading to hospital employment.
Or just do locums and set your own schedule. That’s the real big movement. Towards hourly compensation.

The sooner the hospitals figure this out. The sooner they “save” money. Save being a fake word. Most like losing less money on anesthesia.

The partnership track is pretty much dead in 95% of the country.

AMCs and hospitals gotta think outside the box and move away from blockbuster style old style thinking q4/5 days calls pre and post call days. Blockbuster video management drove the company to the ground due to old style management

Microsoft almost drove themselves to the ground with Steve ballmer doing old style management as well before the new ceo took over in 2014 and saved the company from ruins. And ballmer had the richest company in the world to play with when he took over from bill gates 10 years earlier.

This means you don’t need deep pockets to succeed. You need proper management to staff anesthesia.

won't get partner pay until you put in 5 years and that this requires the newer docs to not get any bonuses until year 5 to support the docs who have been there longer. Some comments saying every doc is required to pay for their high deductible healthcare plans and cannot opt out even if your spouse has better/cheaper health insurance as participation in the high cost monthly health insurance is required to fund the bonuses of the doc who are partnership years 5 and beyond.
Lol oh boy
