Some information (from the source) about VMACS 2010:
1. VMCAS 2010 Application goes live on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009.
2. Application Deadline is October 2nd, 2009: 12:00 Noon Eastern Time
3. Evaluations deadline is October 2nd, 2009: 12:00 Noon Eastern Time
4. 40 Applicants filed for a deadline extention last year (VMCAS 2009) and Zero (0) were approved.
5. VMCAS 2010 will allow you to register 6 evaluations (3 are required to complete your application)(check with your designated school regarding their evaluation requirements).
6. It will be VERY DIFFICULT to get approval for a paper evaluation this year as 99% of schools will not review paper evaluations.
7. VMCAS will not send appliations to schools that are unpaid. (This is a change from last year.)
8. Contrary to popular belief, waiting until the last few weeks to attempt to submit your application is NOT A GOOD IDEA. Last minute, unexpected, technical issue, credit card issue, or other unforeseen circumstance may prevent you from submitting on time.
9. Remember, VMCAS customer service is harder to get a hold of during the last two weeks becuase over 85% of applicant attempt to submit at the last minute.
10. VMCAS begins sending applications to schools as early as early August.
