Hello guys,

Please help me with a question I have.
1. My uncle is a Dentist. I was told by Dental School Faculty that he couldn't write me a recommendation letter.
However, if I shadow at his office. Do those shadowing hours count towards my shadowing experiences?

Absolutely!

But remember shadowing does not equal volunteer work

Yes, they count. I had over 1,000 hours of working in my father's office that I put down. I made sure to put in plenty of time with the dentist who wrote my recommendation for good measure, though.

It does but don't have it as the only one. Make sure to shadow someone who's not related to you.
