Hi everyone
I tutored for a university tutoring program as a volunteer.
In amcas, do i put it under teaching/tutoring, or under volunteering-nonmedical

teaching/tutoring

duh!!! (just kidding)

Teaching/Tutoring.

Whether you got paid or not is only secondary to the nature of your job.

What if you "voluntarily coached" a sport back home (not in college). I'm not a classified instructor or anything. I play for fun. But a few summers ago, I actively coached a handful of kids. Would this count?

Teaching/Tutoring = something in a classroom setting
Volunteering - Non-medical = something not it a classroom setting

And to be honest, no one cares as long as you don't mark it as research when it clearly isn't such.

Teaching/tutoring.

Now, the only concern is if that was paid or not. There is a category for that on the AMCAS.
