I was wondering which tutoring route to take.

1. Become a learning assistant. Requires a 2 credit education course and total of 10-15 hours/week. Includes sitting through lectures (either one or three) that I will find extremely boring. Paid only 3 of those hours. Application is open next month.
OR
2. Become a regular tutor and tutor at least 4 hours per week. Paid for each hour. Application is open this fall.

Thank you.

Volunteers aren't typically compensated.

I tutored HS students for a couple years and I found it to be very rewarding as non-clinical volunteering. Might be best to work with an underserved population, if you can.

If you need the money, pick the one you'll get the most out of.

Yeah I'd go for #2. Also look into wyzant.com. It's an online portal for tutoring, kind of like care.com is for babysitters. I've used it for a while and it's a good secondary source of income.
