hello guys,
i am hopefully applying for pharmacy for the 2006 fall class!
however, my volunteering is weak, to say the least. i have just finished my summer classes and will be looking for a volunteering position in the next week.
due to the place where my mom and dad work, i can get one in like an old folk's home. however, i would prefer one in a pharmacy, since i'm assuming the schools would prefer that as well, right?
i have a few questions though (i'm from canada, not sure that changes anything but w/e):
1. when do we need to have the volunteering completed by? like i plan to start near sept 2005 (hopefully). when do i need to ask my boss to write me a letter or recomendation, so i can send it to the pharmacy?
i'm lookin at uni of buffalo pharmacy and it says it has an 'application deadline' of march 1 2006.
what does that mean?????
i can still write the jan pcat right??
would it mean that i need to send my transcript/reference pages by the 1st of march as well??
2. also, how heavily do they weight this voluteering stuff?? my avg will be solid and i plan to do well on the pcat, but i'm prayin the volutneering wont kill me. well if it does this year, i may apply next year, since i'll have a bunch more time to gain experience. this is only my second year of uni!
will they ask for my pharmacy experience durin my interview, IF my school had an interview???
will the pharmCAS appication thing ask me to list my volunteering experience??
