Hey guys, I have recently found a really cool program which would allow me to do volunteer work at an orphanage in Argentina for a month or as long as I'd like. It seems like a great experience, but it is a bit expensive. I was wondering if anyone has done anything similar and if they did anything to raise money? I'm trying to come up with some ways to maybe get some donations to allow me to do this. I figured this would be a good place to ask considering so many people probably do volunteer work to boost their applications. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

def. do it. mine was expensive ($1200 for the flight and 500 for medication and shots) but an awesome experience. i went with 2 dentists and a priest from my church; my interviewers loved it. stand out. also i became good firends with the dentists so now i have a job at their offices. our church received donations so they gave about 250 to me for the shots and pills. but they donated 12g to the churches in bolivia ! (money i could have used but oh well.)
