Just wondering...

How long does the VSAS "release from home school " take?

and so when do we send immunizations/etc. ? Is that taken care of when you use VSAS by your home school or will they ask you for it after you get a spot?

Thanks

The school has to submit stuff for you, like saying that you've completed their vaccine requirements, which sufficed for me. If it's taking a long time for the review by home school, contact your home school.

My app got stuck in the host school where the individual dept didn't know they had to approve me on VSAS.

Thanks Asher!!!
you made my compulsive checking-on-my-thread-for-answers totally worthwhile. =)

if you don't mind sharing... how long does the school take - is a few weeks normal per each school (home, away)? i am so glad to hear they do that for me - makes me like vasa though was it you on another thread that said it will be standard next year and you don't like it. (fuzzy memory!) thanks though =)

My home school was pretty quick. The problem is you are pretty late in the game to try to get an away spot if you are hoping to get one in the next couple months. When exactly were you applying for?

My school finalized their part as soon as they were able; which was after I had applied to an elective. I think it was 1 day.

Like I said for the host school, I had to call them to find out why nothing was happening.

I don't think there is a "normal" yet since VSAS is new and programs are working on figuring it out.

I was hoping for late october.
I know I am late - relationship issues made me have a immature hissy fit about doing it (externship).

damn. your schools are fast - i am going to ask mine what is up because this just tacked on almost 3 weeks of late time to my VSAS!

thanks for the quick & helpful replies!!!

Yep, I would certainly check on it. You are running pretty late in the game. Every day is going to count at this point.
