So I got my first W this semester in a Cell Biology class, which was just crazy as hell, half of the class dropped before me. Just wondering how much of an impact this could have on getting accepted into d-school.

Currently Sophomore

Cum GPA: 3.839
Only one W, and don't plan on getting anymore.

I plan on applying next June, but I plan on riding out all the rest of my classes. So what do you guys think? I know I'm going to have to explain myself, but should I sweat it at all? Thanks

I'm taking cell bio next semester. Did you think it was difficult or just takes a lot of study time?

W's shouldn't hurt you unless you have A LOT of them.

i guarantee you will be fine. i had a W in physics, and i'm in. don't worry about it, especially with your family guy enthusiasm. just keep up your GPA and work the DAT.

Cell Bio is traditionally more difficult than classes like Molecular Biology, but I think my problem was having a really bad professor. I talked to my ochem professor and he told me that Biochem and Cell Bio are usually courses where students are like "wtf?" because you actually use what you've learned in previous classes instead of just regurgitating info. Problem is it becomes even more difficult when you have a bad professor. Good luck. I plan on taking Biochem next semester and cell bio in the spring, if a different professor is teaching it. :luck:
