LMAO...i know there supposedly is one planned for "october." but let's not call it a bonus..that would be insulting to the word. My friend who works at PBM gets 30k...that's a bonus.

I would be so disappointed to get a $30,000 bonus. Why? Because those are taxed at about 35%. It's much better much better to get that money throughout the year in your regular paycheck.

That's crazy, even most DOPs don't get that kind of bonus. That would be more like corporate directors. 😱

You can claim any overpayment back on your tax return. Alternatively, you can adjust your W-4 allowances to withhold less tax on your regular paychecks.

Mine just hit my account- $2600 after taxes.

I remember about 4 years ago, I got around $4,000 in my staff position after taxes. Now, staff rph gets nothing, and I'm getting way less as a pharmacy manager.

Is it because you are not hitting targets or Wags just pay out ****ty bonuses...? I am very curious to see RAD and WAG bonus structure. What is your bonus based on?

My bonus is going to be 10k this year as pharmacy manager (high volume, 4 percent over script budget, and meeting customer service and key performance metric goals). If they were to pay me out based on next year's bonus structure, it would be 20k.

Your 10k becomes about 5k after taxes for a bonus. You can make more money by working 1 extra shift per month for 12 months. Less stress, less responsibilities, and you make more than the amount of the bonus. I don't know why everyone is caught up in their 'bonus' when it really isn't all that great, especially for CVS. Work 1 extra shift per month, thats all you have to do to make more than a '10k bonus'.

I make the OT too...

10k bonus is equal to a months worth of work. I don't do anything extra... I fill OTC as cash (with discount card), ask my technicians to make PCQ calls and track it, and do observations to manage technician performances.

To be honest, I don't know why anybody smart would not focus on the bonus. You are making the money without using days off. In addition, you don't have to go to extra meetings or deal with bosses on your day off because your numbers suck.

Do you think the CEO cares about his salary? Working extra OT? no... they work for the bonus. Their salary is probably 4-800k... but their bonus can mean 30 million. Anyone who wants to get out of the rat race should depend on that.

CVS bonus sucks for what PIC and isn't fair. My volume is 2800/week and judging from bonus for CA stores, it's the same with a 1500/wk store. And I'm exceeding expectations on targets on everything but scripts (where I'm meeting w/ a 3), but my YTD sos is a 4. But judging from the CA bonus structure, you gotta do even better than that to get max bonus.

Meeting target for my store volume is $5500, which is ridiculous. Max is $16500. To get max, you need to be 10% over script budget, and get exceeds expectations on all. Totally unreachable for 99% of the stores lol.

Fair enough, but that is 5.5k for doing scripts that you would be doing anyway. I have a few stores in my district beating 10 percent...

I think the key with the bonus is focus on the scripts for this year. Nobody is asking you to beat your budget by 10 percent... but the key is to beat it as much as you can. Lets say that you are going for 5 percent. That is 140 scripts extra / week you have to do, or 20 a day. A lot of times... if you provide good customer service, have a fast turn around on PA (switching that nasonex to Flonase instead of asking MD to get pa, MD phone calls, cashing out OTC, PCQ calls), you can get that 20 scripts in a 400 scripts/day store.

About KPM and MCE, I don't know anybody not getting 90s now for KPM. My region was 90 average. You must be rocking MCE because you have a 4 SOS YTD.

So if you bring your scripts up... I think you can get 10k.

If you got a 4 sos for next year's bonus structure..., assuming its 14 percent of your salary, you can get 17500

I think different areas/regions/districts have different customer bases. It's not that simple as you stated. It's not like Arizona or Orange County or some other places where it's a piece of cake.

So WAG staff pharmacists don't get bonus anymore except for the restricted stock units?

Again, the CVS bonus sucks. It's not worth it at all. Some smart people don't want the damn bonus. There are easier ways to make money without doing the extra work.

WAGs removed bonus for staff pharmacists in certain areas.

This is false. WAGS did not remove bonus for staff rph; they just made it harder to get. You have to score "exceeding expectation" or "oustanding" on your review to receive a bonus. The bonus amount is also dependent on which tier your store falls into. Also, I'm sure there is alot of pressure from corp to ensure that most of these reviews do not result in a bonus. It's another way of moving the goal post.

Im not to sure about WAG, but I am sure they follow close to what CVS does and determines the bonus from the scores they earn. At CVS its called a KPM which has a bunch of ridiculous parameters we have to meet. At my store we are close to the bottom our district of about 15 stores yet we have the highest script count and profit. But since the KPM is so low our pharmacists were already told they will not be getting a bonus this year. Kinda unfair in my eyes and im just a tech.

Wag has made getting a bonus very hard and i wouldnt be surprised if they cut it off now or later on bc it seems they are following CVS who works and treats you like a dog. These companies have cut overtime pay, reduce hours to 32 for new grads, cut staff hours, make getting a bonus or something decent impossible. They don't even give techs or anyone a Christmas bonus, how disgraceful for companies that pull in billions of profit and say we are what we are bc of staff. I think they will keep pushing their luck until it all falls apart.
