Wait and take classes that would be helpful in dental school or apply this cycle?

In the long run would it be more beneficial for me to take classes such as gross anatomy, medical microbiology, and pathology and wait to apply? Or to take DAT this summer and apply to dental school? I was also thinking by waiting a year that leaves me time to gain more experience by becoming a dental assistant, which I think would be helpful as well in dental school.

Seriously, you can apply now and then take the classes after you take the dat!
Don't waste any year!

So... you've been waiting up until now to decide whether or not you wanted to apply?

If you haven't already started gathering letters of rec, writing your PS, and studying for your DAT... you're at the back of the pack right now; unless you can get all of that done within a few weeks, go ahead and apply.

Additionally, no undergrad class will prepare you for dental school.... after the first semester, everyone is playing on the same level ground.

do you think it's worth a year's worth of lost income to feel more prepared for dental school?
