I got waitlisted at western today...is there anyone else who has gotten off of the waitlist from COMP yet?

i was waitlisted too 🙁 we're in the same club. i'm hoping to get off, but whatever happens, happens. anyway, good luck to you and i hope you get into the school you want! 😛

From what I've heard, there is still room in your class and a lot of people choose other schools last minute so keep your hopes up...

do you guys think it hinders a person's chance for admission off the alternate list if they applied and interviewed in march/april rather than earlier last year (i.e. july-december)?

hey cyclohexanol, tell glucose i said hi. anyway, when i grow up and become an admissions officer at western, i'm going to get rid of the waitlist and accept everybody (except the crazies) who interviews instead of dragging interviews practically into the first week of class. it makes no sense.

Well they can only fit so many people and they wait til the end of interviews to choose the most qualified people and from there - move on to those actually willing to come if accepted. I know of people in my class who got off the waitlist with low stats and they interviewed the last day of interviews. Hang in there 👍

Okay, so I called Western back and they did not even get to my application.

I won't be seeing you guys there next year. 🙁
