Hey, interviewed at MWU/CCP recently and got put on the alternate list. I could really use some feedback right now as to how I can increase my chance of getting pulled off the list....anything you guys have done in your experience or heard from friends? Thanks

If you've applied and interviewed, and were put on the waitlist anyway, there's not really much of anything you can do. If they pull you off, great. If not, adjust your plans for the next academic year accordingly.

This really should be in the Pre-Pharmacy forum. Where the mods at?

Honestly, if you are on the wait list, to me this is a now or never sort of deal. I remember applying to pharm schools and I told God, 'just get me in one. I will give my right arm. I will, I promise!' I was desperate. I wanted it more than anything.
If you feel the same way, I say call the dean of admissions and let him know how happy you are to be on the waiting list and express your sincere interest in their program, how special it is, how it is better than any other school, and how you look forward to hearing from them. What's the worst that can happen? You get embarrassed, you remain on the wait list. The best? He likes you and remembers your name when they need to pull someone off...
(this is assuming it's a generalized wait list and not numbered by rank of who they would admit)

Stay in touch with the admissions office. Let them know, indirectly without being too pushy or a turn-off, that you're still interested in going to that pharmacy school.

I applied to only one pharmacy school, where I was wait-listed, and now I'm graduating. It can work out for you too...

Thanks for the advice all. I know this is a pre-pharm related post but I'm asking you all since your older and have been through this process before/are more knowledgeable.

What school? If you don't mind my asking...I'm in the exact same position right now and while I am still optimistic I am trying to get a good idea of my chances.
