So Iv'e been waitlisted for a program id like to attend after interviewing a few days ago. Im just wondering if anybody is in a similar situation, and if anybody has had any experiences being accepted off the waitlist. Any info is greatly appreciated

I was waitlisted at a program in October, and then eventually accepted a month afterward. Call the school both to reiterate your strong desire and interest in their program and to check where you are in the waitlist. Send an additional statement of purpose both to the program director and the faculty you interviewed with. Make sure it's utterly clear that a spot would not be wasted on you. There is hope; good luck!

thekman, thanks for the info and letting me know there is still hope. I will def. take your advice and write letters to the program director and the person I interviewed with. you gotta do whatever it takes, thanks!

I was waitlisted too. Stupid GRE score. I got on the waitlist and it took almost 2 months before I received that oh so important call that they had a spot for me. Remember, schools have different timeframes for deadlines and some students get into a boatload of programs but can only attend one. It's nerve racking but hang in there.

thanks myzougrad...i was part of the first interview session and from speaking with some of the other applicants they seemed to have gotten into more than one school already so hopefully a spot will open sooner than later

I was also waitlisted at two schools. Got into the first one in February (October interview)... so hang in there

I was waitlisted by my top two schools and ended up getting accepted to both (one in March, the other in July). Have had no troubles in PT school since starting, and I only have 2 trimesters left of PT school! (well, and three clinicals.....)
