Does that have a better addiction potential than benzos? I think I could use one of those.
Still got a mini heart attack despite the very clear "ERAS has no information regarding your match status and as such this communiqué does not imply anything whatsoever about your match status" at the beginning of the SOAP e-mail today.
come on, it's too early for that. When I get the march 8 e-mail, I'll probably still have palpitations even though a thousand resources say everyone gets that, my emotions will be very raw that close to black monday. Today I was just like meh whatever though.

whats this march 8 email?
When you really look at it, it's completely backwards.the week before match week your school verifies with NRMP that you are eligible to start residency on July 1, therefore making you eligible for SOAP, so on the Friday before match week everyone registered for the match gets an e-mail saying they are eligible for SOAP. This doesn't mean they are actually going to need to use SOAP, just that if they don't match they are eligible to participate.

Holy crap, you all try to find things to worry about that don't exist! What happens if your school flakes on doing this? Are you pulled from the match in general? Or if you don't match you just can't SOAP?
EtOH BID & AC
How do they verify with foreign schools? Through ECFMG?Holy crap, you all try to find things to worry about that don't exist!
The NRMP is really good about getting this correct. Want to know why it takes 23 days from ranking to match day? This is why. They get it right. Every time.
I'm sure they have every school review their list, and ensure that everyone is still on track to graduate on time. There is nothing to worry about.
On the nrmp website there is a status icon for ECFMG detailing whether you are ''VERIFIED''.How do they verify with foreign schools? Through ECFMG?
Yes, and they reverify prior to SOAP (so if you weren't eligible for the match but then become eligible in these 20+ days, you can participate in SOAP)How do they verify with foreign schools? Through ECFMG?
