If my amcas app status has changed from waiting for review to under review.. how long does this under review process take till i get verified???

Depends I would say give it atleast a week.

It really varies. Once I was under review, I was verified in under 30 minutes. Some people on here though have reported being under review for a week.

any idea what is the deciding factor?

Maybe number of transcripts? Number of classes? Whether you have a lot of "iffy" classes for BCPM classification? That's all I can think of.

I was "waiting for review" for about an hour and then under review for a week. 🙄
I was the opposite. I was "waiting for review" for a week.

I only had one transcript, so I don't know if that makes a difference vs. people who had to have them sent from multiple schools. AMCAS is still a mystery to me.

My thought is that it's verifier specific.

One verifier will leave the app as "waiting" until they actually sit down with the transcripts and start verifying the course work. That's when they flip the status to "under review."

Another verifier might status the app as "under review" as soon as the app hits his/her desk and regardless of whether it is the application actively being reviewed.

Seriously, my app was "under review" for a week. It took me an hour to TYPE the courses into the application. Why does it take a week to look at the application and then look at the transcripts and see that they match? I only had 4 X's -- I didn't status the courses I skipped (Algebra, etc.) as advanced placement -- so it's not like they were swamped with a bad application to work with.

I agree that it's probably verifier specific. I waited a week for review, but being "under review" was less than 30 minutes.

I have been under review for about 10 days now...

I've been under-review for 6 days now, should I be worried?

This is killing me. I've been "ready for review" for weeks now, and I had all transcripts, etc. in around July 25th. How long will this take?! I feel like other people were verified ages ago, and I'm late in the game! :scared:
