I'm planning on going back home to kansas to practice optometry since that's where I'm from but they don't have their state boards til like Mid July. Unfortunatley Kansas is one of those boards with a ton of hoops to jump through. I was wondering what most people did waiting for state licenses to come in? Work a little bit or go take a very long vacation for a few weeks.

Well I was wondering/theorizing whether I should move back home for two months with mom and dad til i had the opportunity to practice and get my own place. Then the OMD that I'm doing my last rotation here in St. louis offered me an awesome deal to stay in stl for the summer and work for him while I wait for the license, over 20 an hour. So I'm pretty much staying around here for two more months. I felt like this was a great offer to stay sharp for the summer, and see a ton more patients since I already see over 20 a day.

Maybe I should take a break, but I can't move back home and expect to make over 10 an hour a part time summer job. I'm sure I'm unsual in the fact that I'm not taking a break and going on vacation, but i guess that's just me. And the extra money is a welcome nice addition.

Good luck with finals everyone.

Four more days of working for free and then its over.
