Who is still waiting for a post-secondary response from UCSF? I've been complete since 10/22 and still haven't heard anything. Just hope I can get an email soon instead of a snail mail.

I got the 'selected for a secondary application' email 11/23, two months after the 'your AMCAS app has been received' email, and now I'm waiting for the website to even say my application is complete. Right now it just says "Your secondary application has been received". UCSF is pretty much the only school I really really want to go to, and it's looking like it's not going to happen. 🙁 Oh, and to make matter worse, I'm from out of state (WV). This **** sucks. Good luck to you. Do you know how often they send out interview invites/how late in the season?

Same here. My secondary application has been completed at UCSF since 10/14/04, which is approaching 11 weeks!!! Their website says it takes about 8 weeks to review my application. So i guess i will email them tonight and see what sup

sdnstud--let us know if you have any luck with that e-mail. I have been complete there since 11/2 according to the status check site, and no word. I am planning to send out update letters within the week, so maybe that will help.

I win! I've been complete since 9/13 and haven't heard a word. I also sent them an email before the x-mas holiday to check on my status, and they haven't gotten back with me. I heard some people were getting "pre-interview hold" letters, but I haven't received anything. I don't know. Frankly, I don't understand why they haven't rejected me. I know they've sent out some post-secondary rejections.

sorry to sort of hijack this thread, but has anyone heard post-interview and it hasn't been an acceptance? ( i know a bunch of people heard a little after mid-december and got in), but has anyone got other news?

I've been reading the Stanford's thread and UCSF sends waitlist/rejection at the beginning of each month. It would really suck if I get a rejection from Stanford and UCSF on the same day.

I would call them. My secondary was received 12/4 and when I called yesterday, they were like "You should have called weeks ago. We never received your LOR." I even read her the thing it says on the bottom of the status page and she was like, "even so...."

alright guys and girls, I just called UCSF admissions to get the down-low. My application was completed on 10/14 and it was supposed to be reviewed before christmas. For whatever reason, the adcom did not finish reviewing everyone in my batch before christmas and those who did not get reviewed will be reviewed next week. So for those of you waiting to hear from ucsf, don't expect something until earliest the week of 17th. Good luck!

did they say what day next week they will be reviewing? i finally got my LORs sent, but the woman refused to send it overnight, so i don't know how long it will take to get there...

Wow...so if they haven't even reviewed apps completed 10/14 yet, I guess it will be a little while before they get to my batch (complete 11/2). Which is depressing and reassuring at the same time. 🙄
