Waiting list procedure

I've just got waitlisted on NYU. I was just wondering whats the process for waiting list. Do they give it consideration after they get the deposit of the first acceptance batch in mid january or they keep interviewing till the end and then review the waitinglist. Any info will be helpful. Thanks.

If you get in off the waiting list it could happen tomorrow or it could happen the day before classes start in the summer. Keep updating your information and don't lose your cool. You might need to reapply while you are still on the waiting list. Good luck.

Add me to that list of NYU waitlistees too, if anybody else has any experience with these waiting lists, ESPECIALLY that of NYU please feel free to throw in your two cents as any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I think the waitlist is the school's reserve until they have interviewed all the applicants they want to. If they do not find enough students who accept after their cycles, they will start accepting students off the list. That is, of course, assuming the students are still available.
