I seem to remember a rule that said you must "wait 30 days" before rebooking a test.....However:

I was reading the FAQ and it now says "you may only register for one testing session at a time, and you must wait until the second day following exam administration to register for your next exam"

So am I reading this right? Can you now technically retake the test even before your scores come out ?

Thanks

Yes, but it's tricky. You can sign up for a new test 2 days after your mcat. But it's only logical to retake before your scores come out if 1) you voided your test or 2) you know for a fact that you guess/bombed the test. And I'm not talking about a feeling but knowing for sure that you had no idea what was going on or that you left a few passages blank. Because if you don't void and you retake the 2nd test, then your 2nd test is going to hold more weight even if you got a 30 the first test and a 25 the second test.

So yeah, retake it if you know you f'd up, but if you are unsure or want to be sure of your score before you retake, then schedule an mcat date that is after your score release date (2 weeks after if your score comes back good and you want at least a partial refund).

hmmm interesting ..... good points

do you know of anyone who did this?
