waiting time for Step 2 CK Scheduling?

Has anyone had any troubles getting a date quickly for Step 2 CK when they wanted one? For different reasons I have to put off registering for a little while, but once I do will have a two month window before my school requires I sit for the exam.

Not really, but I live near a bunch of Prometric centers so I was able to find the date that I needed by checking a few places. Maybe you could try that?

Try what? living near a prometric?I had problem too as there were only 2 prometric w/in 50 miles

I'm taking the USMLE on a Friday in NY (where I live) and the COMLEX the following Monday in Boston (where I have family). 200 miles apart but it's worth it to be able to take the boards on the dates that work best for my schedule. Travel isn't ideal but it's an option if desperate.
