waitlist continued interest letter

Is it a good idea to send a second continued interest letter ? I am on a waitlist and I sent a continued interest letter already but i haven’t heard back yet and I’ve been moved to the alternate list should I send another one to show more perseverance and determination?
What do you think ?

It doesn't take perseverance and determination to write letters while waiting for other peoples' decisions to shake out.

GT is Georgetown, they encourage letters of intent filled with butt kissing. If you're waitlisted there then do it.
