For those of you who have been accepted from off of a waitlist please share with those of us who are still waiting. Please name the school and the date you were accepted.

I was accepted to the University of Pittsburgh on March 17, after interviewing in mid January and being placed on the wait list in the end of February. By that time I had already been placed in 2 other wait lists... Not an ideal situation.

Don't lose hope, though! May 15 is approaching, and with it, wait list movement time!

Yep, this thread should hopefully blow up May 15th 😀

I got in off the waitlist at SUNY Buffalo. I interviewed February 3rd, was waitlisted Feb 4th, and switched to acceptance March 4th.

idk about that...its going to take time i would assume for them to see exactly how many people need to get off the list etc...May 15th is a saturday too so at the earliest may 17th would be when anything happens....from looking at some of last years threads, there seems to be a lull after may 15th and a few weeks later is when everything starts really going.

Obligatory Tulane Anatomy Certification Program (ACP) post: if you're waitlisted at a US medical school (MD or DO) and want a good backup option, you can apply to ACP.

Short version: take three medical school classes (gross anatomy, histology, neuroscience) with the first-year students and beat their average and you've got a very, very good shot at attending Tulane SOM the following year. It's also cheaper than a one year Masters program with better rates of getting people into medical school. The application is straight-forward (your AMCAS, waitlist letter, a personal statement and letters of rec) and relatively inexpensive.

I've gotten pretty good at being patient this past year...no problem I say!
