Did anyone from the waiting list hear from them?
Even if they call us now do u think we can complete all the formalities.what do u guys think about the whole situation? 😕

As far as I know waitlisted candidates will be contacted only after 1st of August, provided there are seats available. And if I am not misinformed then NYU called up someone from waitlist in Oct/Nov 2004! So we have plenty time to keep our hopes up..........although personally I am looking at 2006 admission cycle.

I hate to say but I think everyone interviewed after the month of Feb, have been waitlisted. My guess would be a little over 100 people.

I did not expect to find so many posts. I wanted to know coz i might not be able to make this year. I got acceptance in jan but am unable to find a cosigner for loan as yet. So some hopeful may be accepted. i will be making the final decision next week. gl u all guys

I was interviewed in March and my friend in April ,she got in and i am wait listed .So not every one after feb is wait listed.

What irks me is that no one with a positive/negative reply has posted a message here. With so many people from SDN on waitlist, it's hard to accept that no one has got any response from NYU

Hi AjayDas

I thought you are a calm and confident person! And surprised to find that you are blaming fellow SDN-ers as if they holding something from you. Well they are not. Come on, don't let me down. No one can have a clue about NYU situation. I am sure you never read my posts regarding NYU waitlist. I have posted, more tha once, that waitlisted candidates will be contacted only after August 1. This is because the first day of orientation program is Aug 2nd. (This fact was very clearly explained to us following interview. Also I contacted my interviewer and the reply was same). NYU or for that matter any school can only look into their waiting-list closer to the last day of fee (tuition etc) submission. I hope this explains the (??)conspiratorial gesture of SDN-ers!! Are Bhai Ar Matro Du Saptaho Dhoirjo Rakho! Tar Por Espar Ki Ospar. hahaha.

I have no problem with people who have been waitlisted. My peeve is against those, who otherwise have lots of posts to their credit, fail to post once they get a reply from NYU. I don't know about you, but I find it impossible to believe none have heard from them

p.s Don't go by my name. Am a kannadiga. The only Bengali sentence I can speak is "Rashogulla bhishoon mitha" Hope i got that one right 😛

its difficult wait now. aar yah paar......some of us will go in and some won't.
i know i have least chances coz i am from canada, they won't take risk of calling student from cross border ,with issues like visa and stuff esp at this stage.

Oops! Anyway I just found out from 'NYU Waitlist' thread that the waitlist started moving. 2 acceptances so far.

Fateh, All I have is a 10 yr multiple entry tourist visa dude. I am from India. If that doesn matter, I think you have a far better chance than me 😛
