Waitlisted before they offer an interview????

Hey everybody!

Congrats to all who have already gotten interview invites!! hopefully soon I will get one!

well I just called Midwestern and they told me that my application had already been reviewed and I have been "waitlisted", but I still haven't gotten an interview invite from them....the woman wasn't too helpful with explaining what this meant so I was wondering if someone might be able to explain this to me alittle better. Does this mean that I'm on a wait list for a potential interview invite??? or should I just basically take this to mean its a rejection.... : ( if anyone has any thoughts or helpful advice I'd appreciate it! Thanks!!

Not many ds offer acceptance/waitlists without an interview. It is hard to imagine that Midwestern would buck a tradition.

yah, i agree...so i'm assuming that this means that they are still a little unsure about whether or not to interview me. oh well.....i can only hope for the best!

Your application is probably on "hold" until they get your updated grades for spring/summer/fall sessions this year.
