waitlisted, so now what???????

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You weren't rejected, so that's definitely good. 🙂

Seriously, there's always a decent amount of turnover at schools as people holding multiple acceptances choose where they're going & give up the other spots. As long as you're on a waitlist, you've got a chance. :luck:

If it's your first choice, send them a letter of intent detailing why you love their school so much and why you'd be a great fit and that you'd definitely attend if accepted.

If it's not your first choice, still consider sending them a letter describing the above but leaving out the line saying you'd definitely attend.

if you do anything to enhance your application, by all means let the school know. That can be anything from a new GPA to a new MCAT score, publication, etc..... Keep the lines of communication open and keep them knowing that you are interested.

You could ask them if there is anything you can do to enhance your application. I know someone who did that and they were able to clear the waitlist by adding another experience to their package. Don't pester them every week, but how about an email every 4-5 weeks.

Good luck. Hope you clear the list ASAP.
