For these 2 questions, are my expected to write an essay or simply list the activity.

In which service activity that you listed on the AMCAS application do you feel made the most impact on someone else?

Wellllll......................

Unless they SAY list, then I would assume it means an essay, dude.

I think someone called the admissions office and they said the essays could be as long as you need them to be. I kept mine at the usual 1500-2000 characters.

i wrote "essays", but they were quite short. i like to keep things short and sweet.

mine were each a small paragraph, like 4 or 5 sentences. I hope that doesn't hurt me, but it tells the truth and isn't a page of filler like a lot of my other essays. you also have to remember that they have your personal statement and all of your post-sec stuff to read. this is a small part of the whole application.

Writing 4-5 sentences won't hurt you at all. Thats what I did and it was fine, so don't fret. Good luck everyone!

Did anyone write kind of long essays? Over 3000 characters? I haven't submitted yet, but both of my essays are that long right now...wondering if I should cut them down or not.

I wrote short essays - around 5 sentences each. Then I wrote a long essay in the optional box about why I wanted to go there.
