ummm....has anyone heard ANYTHING? what happened to the 3 week notification thing? anyone??? anyone???

for our interview group they said that they would meet on october 20th and give us an answer the following week. The wait continues.... 🙂

They told my group they were meeting on 10/13, and I still haven't heard anything yet.

and no word. im dying to know if anyone heard at all because i think with their system they only pick 10-15 each time and others can go back into the pile for consideration at the meeting the following month- which means that you would probably get no word one way or the other. how will they notify- by mail, phone or email?

They told us they'd let us know even if we went back into the pool as a wait-listed candidate. They said we'd get an acceptance or wait-list notice (no rejections at this point). I'm hoping that a big envelope from North Carolina just takes a long time to get to California. 🙄

Just got the letter. I thought it was rejection or waitlist because its in small white envelope. Just one page- I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How long will it take for my letter to make it from North Carolina to Southern California? Answer: Way too long! 😕

when i was visiting some of the first year med students said that they knew tons of kids who got in off waitlists so be persistent!!!! i had planned to let them know often that i was really interested if i got waitlisted.

did they tell you when the committee was going to meet for your decision? It's usually a week after that. looks like you interviewed a really long time ago... i would call. GOOD Luck

i'll be waiting for a long time. they said that they usually let people know in 3 weeks when i was there, too, but then said that the committee wouldn't decide our fate until 11/10! (my interview was on 10/19, meaning the won't even consider us until 3 weeks have passed). then they said its usually a week or so after their decision that we get our answer in the mail. that pushes the total waiting time well past 1 month.

bitching won't make the earth spin faster, but i really liked wake and can't wait to hear back!!

Unlike you guys, I unfortunately wasn't given an interivew right off the bat but I really like the school and they suggested that I write a letter of interest but I don't know the dean's name. I would 😍 you guys forever if you have the answer.

They told me my file would go before the committee on 10/14, and I received the letter on 10/22, so about a week later.

Thanks for the sentiments. You're right, it has been a difficult week. However, this is just another challenge to overcome. It builds character. Who ever said this process was going to be easy or straightforward?
