i called recently bc i was in teh second interview and was told to call back in Jan if i hadnt' herad anything. i asked if the list was going ot move at all and woman who answered said that she didn't think they were going ot get to the second interview pool this year.

I got the same thing when I called. The implication being, what? They're going to get to us next year? I have to admit, I like not knowing anything better than I like having my hopes up with an "interview pool" and waiting indefinitely for an ultimate rejection.

I called in mid-December to see if my application was complete. They told me I was in the top interview pool, whatever that means. Anyway, they told me that they weren't scheduling February yet and that they would call me back in January. I got a call on Jan. 4th and they had some spots open from mid-Feb on. I scheduled for March 1st. A lot of people will be cancelling interviews soon so a lot of spots will become available. Don't lose hope and definitely keep calling Wake. For what I've read, it goes a long way.

Definitely... Calling goes a LONG way! When I was an applicant 4 years ago, I didn't receive an interview until I called in January. I asked if my application was complete and they said "congratulations, you were selected for an interview"... I interviewed, got wait-listed, called expressing my interest, and now I'm about to graduate near the top of my class in 5 months... Don't give up.

I've emailed a million times with no success. I'm beginning to get the impression that I'm not going to get an interview even after them telling me, check back in January. They go on about their applications being up 9% and all. It is pretty frustrating!

I also got placed in the interview pool that won't have any chances of becoming a "real" interview this year. I basically got rejected, but I'm in interview material, so i should feel good? This is bullsh*t.

For what it's worth, I would keep calling Wake. There has to be a lot of people in that 2nd interview pool so you want to make sure that they call you first when they get to that pool. I don't know, just my $0.02 😉
