Wake Forest?

Has anyone still not heard anything from Wake Forest? I haven't heard either rejection or secondary and according to their website they let everyone know something by Dec. 15.
Should I just assume it's a rejection?

there's always hope...but i remember them being very responsive...i think they are actually of the schools that is on the ball...i got an interview 2 weeks after sending in my secondary. good luck, i loved Wake...if only they offered some scholarship money....

but remember, this whole process is a crapshoot...dont let it get personal....good luck! 🙂

I got my secondary into them a couple of weeks ago, and they emailed me and informed me that I am complete there....now more waiting.

If you have a completed file, there is still plenty of time to interview at Wake. Interviews go into April, and there are people in my class that interviewed in April and received acceptances. Also, it helps to call them. Last cycle when I was applying, I called to check on the status of my application and I was able to schedule an interview. Good luck!

Congrats on a great game against UNC cocoabutter, definitely one of the better games Ive seen (Gonzaga vs. Arizona in the tourney last year might have been better just because of the ramifications).

The ACC is going to be awesome this year.

TO be honest, if you have completed your secondary and haven't heard back by this time, you still have some chance. However, if you still haven't received the secondary yet, it's either the email inviting you to fill out secondary got lost (Talk about reliability of the internet!), or it's a rejection.

I'm reading from this that you haven't gotten a secondary from Wake. If that's the case, then I'm in the same boat. I got a complete e-mail (we've got your AMCAS, will contact you when further information is required), but beyond that, I haven't heard anything although their secondary deadline was on the 15th. I'll be calling them tomorrow to get clarification on the e-mail and whether it means "rejection" or they're just moving slow.

I'll let you know once I find something out.

Gleevec...thanks for the congrats. Wake seems to have a really good team and so does UNC. Some of my classmates that went to UNC are probably not too happy. 🙂

As for the secondary situation, I agree with CalBeE that if you didn't receive it by the deadline, then that might not be a good sign. Definitely still call and make sure. But if you have received and completed a secondary, there is still tons of time to interview.

What about Georgie Tech... it's one of the many schools in the ACC who doesn't have nearly as good a basketball program as Duke. Gee, I that really is 'nough said.

As far as Wake secondaries... most of the august MCATers I know got it anywhere from 3-6 weeks ago.

Wake Forest sends a notice via email for a secondary....you fill it out on the web.

Call them...I had a good experience last time I called them...unlike *cough* some private med school in Northern California.

I called Wake Forest this morning and the folks in the admissions office told me that the actual due date for secondaries is three weeks after the day that they send you the secondary, not December 15th as it says on the website. So there is still some hope for getting one; just hang tight.

I am an August MCATer and I received my rejection letter from Wake Forest in the last couple of weeks. I was rejected pre-secondary, and the letter came in the mail. At least it was a nice letter, and they at least claimed to have devoted the necessary time to evaluate all facets of my application.

Hopefully the rest of you guys who are waiting will have a different fate than I did at Wake.
