Wake vs. Tulane

Sorry for taking another poll, but Iust got into Wake. Any thoughts about choosing between these two schools for the fast approachng decision day?

I interviewed at both places and thought Wake was a better school but NO was a much better city to live in. Which one gave you better financial aid?

I don't know yet because I just got into Wake, so I didn't enter them on my FAFSA when I submitted it it. I hope I didn't drop the ball on that. I'm also still considering SUNY Downstate. . . I agree- I like Wake better as a school and prefer the climate in WS more, but I dig new orleans a lot.

Wake's program is stronger according to US News.

Tulane does rotate through Charity Hospital but I also hear you don't get to do near as much as the LSU kids.

There is no other med school in WS and rotating through Baptist hospital will spoil you. (I saw patient rooms with HARDWOOD FLOORS when I toured)

you heard wrong, charity is split equally between the two. lsu people like to try and pull that one over on people who dont know better. inferiority complex

Actually, one of the Tulane kids told me that at my interview. But I don't always believe what I hear. If I am wrong, I am wrong.

hehe i am in a similar situation. cept i also have pitt and uva in the mix. wake has a technology edge in the classroom if that matters to u. bapist is much more aesthetically pleasing. seems like both tulane and wake have a laid back student group. NOLA is way more exciting and more dangerous. wake is in a better financial situation i think. tulane steals my heart. tulane is getting better classroom facilities. there were cute boyz at both... 😉 wake starts a lot sooner - july 26th - soon! wake gives you a laptop. wake is cheaper. tulane has a funner name.

i personally will prolly only go to wake if i get the BOG scholarship, since otherwise it is my most expensive option.

seethrew, i saw that you were deciding about the same. how does wake work out more expensive for you- because of the aid granted? cuz overall tulane comes out about 10k more per year. . .

got a merit scholarship at tulane. and the other schools gave me monies too. wake gave me the least other than the BOG nomination.
