Walgreens Educational Assistance Program?

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone ever heard of the walgreens educational assistance program? basically walgreens gives you up to 5,000 per year if you work for them after you graduate (number of years depends upon how many years you received the money). I was thinking about doing this, because I know I want to do retail for sure and I like interning at walgreens currently. However, on the website for this program, it has listed areas upon state, so does that mean I can choose a state or area, or it is compltely random? As long as I can choose a state or an area, I would really be willing to do this. However I am not really sure.
Any pharmers currently doing this too? BTW i am a P2 currently

I just signed my contract with them, and yes I did this program too. You choose the district, which is usually the district you are currently working in.

First off Walgreens DO NOT give you $5000 a year thats far from true. It starts at 1500 and increase by 500 each year. You will need to work for walgreens, not sure if you are a paid or unpaid intern but once you are a paid employee you apply to the district you work in so its not random since they have to approve your application for the funds. I would definitely recommend doing it to up yourself above others 😀.

Honestly things are changing so fast in the company right now, who knows what the procedure will be by the time you graduate.

Yes, things are changing pretty fast and besides location based is just in puerto rico now lol and i believe it's 5000 for the last year and that replaces the progressive scholarship for that year.
