Ok does anyone know what is going on with walgreens in Florida? I read on here a while ago about their POWER program and how they laid off a good number of pharmacists. Today on rx career center there were probably 30 something jobs posted for walgreens... Did power fail and now they have to replace all the pharmacists they let go? Or are walgreens pharmacists just leaving in droves because of poor working conditions? Or a combination of the two?

Because Power cut cost and increase productivity and profit dramatically for the conpany's bottom line, walgreen is now HIRING more and morepharmacists across the country right now. Acoording to Forbes' survey, Walgreen is one of the very best companies to work for and Walgreen pharmacists have highest job satisfaction

Where do you get this stuff from? Power is only in two markets, Florida and Arizona and it affected the profit of the whole chain..... Smokin indeed....

Is it possible that those are old posts put up by various hiring agencies and are either repeats, outdated postings, or both? I remember that came up before on this forum.

FAIL! I've been there 20 years and worked in district management. I still get the inside scoop. The real answer is that RPhs are leaving in mass numbers in FL and AZ due to POWER. Nice try ...
