Is wags pretty liberal with raises for the techs? I'm going through the training right now and it didn't really specify. Are they annual or does it vary by store?
I plan to ask my PM in a professional and subtle way because I don't want to seem like a rube trying to catch as much money as I can 🙂.
Soooo
Anyway I just wanted to know any Walgreens techs' personal experience.

P.s. Did anybody else find the tech training PPL extreeeeeemely time-consuming!?

It may differ by state as I know the rate of pay does...I work in Minnesota and tech's here get a raise after 1 yr of working and then q 6 months afterward with a positive review from your manager. Also, get certified asap, then you will get a $1 raise I think it is...If you become a Sr. Tech you can also get another raise...There are ways to work your way up at Wags that is why I love the company!

One thing to keep in mind re: certification and raises... once you become certified and are given the ~1.00/hour raise, your next raise would not become effective until 1 year from your certification date. For example, if I began working with the company in January and was certified in July, my yearly raise would not take effect until the following July. I would certainly ask your PM about it though - this policy was one that I learned about several years ago (in Alabama) but I think it's still in effect.

I understand your frustrations about PPL - I'm just glad I was grandfathered in on most of it 🙂
